Brin Hamblin

Owner

Brin has been dancing for nearly four decades, training, competing, and performing in jazz, tap, ballet, modern, contemporary, and hip hop across Central Indiana from a young age. She began teaching at 17, earned her Bachelor's degree in Dance Performance from Ball State University in 2005, and went on to teach at multiple studios, choreograph for area high school dance teams, and judge regional and national competitions.

In 2010, Brin relocated to Los Angeles, where she has built an extensive career in commercial and theatrical dance. Training with Galen Hooks, Janet Roston, Glyn Gray, Kelsey McCowan, and Melinda Sullivan to name a few. Some of her performance and entertainment credits include being cast in the International Pin Up Company The Satin Dollz, animation reference dancer for Disney Junior's Vampirina, DreamWorks Dragon Rescue Riders, and Gabby's Dollhouse. She has performed with BPM (a 7-piece, genre-bending music and tap dance show), Mixed eMotion Theatrix, LA Unbound, MUDA mvmt, and choreographed multiple musicals in Los Angeles, including the original world premiere of DEADLY by Vanessa Claire Stewart, as well as works by playwright and composer Michael Shaw Fisher. She also leads the annual tap program for the national award-winning show choirs at Burroughs High School in Burbank, CA.

After nearly four decades of training, performing, teaching, and choreographing, Brin is truly living a full circle moment. When she was asked about helping keep her former home studio alive in some way when it was announced it would be closing she knew she had to do something for a community that did so much for her. Not wanting to see her dance family and so many dancers have to close up shop entirely, she stepped up to take on a new position in the dance scene, Owner. Enter Circle City Dance Inc. Together with the masterful Indianapolis-based teachers and team who inspire the students and parents every day, Brin brings her passion, dedication and love for dance, along with the perspective of a working LA career. Turns out, the dream was always big enough for more than one city. ;)

"From one dance kid to another- never let go of your dreams, you never know where they could take you.  Just remember while you're out chasing them, where it all began"
